Lab Hour #3

Got a chance to get a quick overview on how a museum operates and the various work involved in operating a museum. Spent 1 hour and 30 minutes touring the State Parks museum with the class. I was amazed of the magnitude of the collections available at the warehouse.

Lab Hour #2

*Correction: Several of the items listed on my previous post were incorrect. Included in this post is a revised list of the items with pictures.
Spent little less than 30 minutes at the repository locating and taking pictures of items that were previously unavailable. Corrections were made to items corresponding to the arch tray box. Spent close to 10 minutes refining my page and adding a blog roll. Thanks to Carrie, I was able to learn on how to add a blog roll by watching the youtube video included in the email she sent.

Lab Hour #1

Spent close to an hour on Thursday and Friday researching the selected objects at the library and repository. *Note: I only provided pictures for the Lahala mat because the rest of the objects were kept at another location and approval from another instructor was needed to retrieve these objects. Pictures for the rest of the objects coming soon!

74-2-4: small boxed mounted sea weed markers for table markers
74-2-60: Roman bowl from Balea, Bay of Naples
74-2-86: Lahala mat from Hawaii
74-2-141: Pair of Alaskan snow shoes (a&b)
74-2-142: (referred to object 74-2-84) grass skirt lahala and tape
